Initial Setup: Discount

To offer a discount for the first time, enable the app embed, create a campaign, and activate the campaign in that order.

Enable the app embed to show widgets and product messages on the online store. Automatically applied discounts still apply at checkout when the app embed is disabled.

(1) Open the theme editor from the setup guide

In Shopify admin, go to Apps and open "RuffRuff Order Bonus." In the setup guide under "Enable app embed in your live theme," select "Enable app."

(2) Save the app embed

In "App embeds" in the theme editor, enable "RuffRuff Order Bonus," then select "Save."

Create a campaign under "Discount" in the app, then configure its overview, dates, conditions, and discount.

(1) Open the create screen

Open "Discounts" in the left menu, then select "Create campaign".

(2) Configure the campaign fields

Set the following fields.

• Campaign overview: Set the internal campaign name and application method (Automatic / Manual)

• Active dates: Set the start date and time. The end date and time are optional.

• Eligibility conditions: Set conditions that narrow who gets the discount. If no conditions are set, all customers are eligible

• Discount: Set the discount type (order, product, or shipping) and the rate or fixed amount. Choose whether it applies to one-time purchases or subscriptions in “Advanced settings”

• Display settings: Set whether to show the widget and product message on the online store

• Restrictions: Set combinations with other discounts and usage limits

(3) Save

When you finish setup, select "Save". You can still edit each item after saving.

When status is "Active", the discount is applied based on the set dates and conditions.

(1) Activate the campaign

Select "Activate", then select "Save".
